Open Burning

• Obtain a Burn Permit
• Contact your local Fire Department and inform them.
• Keep open burns 50 feet from structures or brush.
• Burn only leaves, limbs, etc.
• Do not burn trash, tires, plastics, or building materials.
• Never use gasoline to fuel any fire.
• Keep your fire small. If the wind is blowing, don't burn.
• Have a hose or other fire fighting method with you.
• Always attend your burn.
• If the fire gets out of control call 911 immediately.

Burn Permits are required from October 15 thru May 15.
